Paddleability

Paddleability

Canoeing WA is proud to announce weekly 'Paddleability' sessions.

These sessions are specific to people with a disability who want to learn how to paddle.

Participants do not require any prior paddling/rowing experience.

Sessions run at the Ascot Kayak Club (Garvey Park) on Sunday mornings from 7:30am to 8:30am with specialised coach Andrew Budge. The sessions include instruction about paddling technique and skills. There is a cost of $10 per session that covers equipment, coaching and insurance.

Participants do not require any previous paddling experiecne but it is essential that they can swim.

Champion Lakes Boating Club will also run some Open Days during the year.

Brock Ingram is the Australian champion for Paracanoe and finished sixth at the 2011 World Championshiops in Hungary. Canoeing WA is always on the lookout for potential champions.
