The Mainpeak Paddlesports Bay 2 Beach presented by Be Active is Perth's most unique paddle race with national and international paddlers having made their way to compete in the event over the past 3 years, the 2008 event promises to be another well patroned race. Paddlers start at Mosman Bay and head into the river towards Fremantle, passing through the iconic Fremantle Harbour then out around the North Mole inside a buoy off Leighton Beach and down to finish at the iconic Cottesloe Beach.
An Open Water Paddle Competency Self Assessment will be part of the online entry process before paddlers can be eligible to paddle the race. Entrants will need to answer each question within the online entry with a "YES" before they are eligible. For any entrants answering "NO" to any 1 of the 6 questions, please contact Jesse Phillips.

The Mainpeak Paddlesports Bay 2 Beach is Race 3 in the 2008 Spirit Paddle Ocean Challenge Series which is a five race series aimed at providing events to engage the paddling community in fun/safe ocean events. For more information on the Ocean Challenge Series visit www.myocean.com.au
