Activity Days Activity Days Ascot Kayak Club (AKC) has Wednesday night time trials 5:30 – 7:30pm, Slalom Training: 5:00 – 7:30pm and Guppy Training 4:30 - 5:30pm and also 8:30 - 10:00am on Sundays. Introductory Courses each month on a Saturday at 8.30am. Multi-sport Training 7.00am (ie paddle bike run) most Saturday mornings.
Club Activities The Wednesday night time trials are an informal race suited to paddlers of all levels and experience. Time handicaps are given to the faster competitor. The club supports and encourages any paddler wanting to race or learn how to race in a friendly supportive manner. The club runs both introductory and intermediate paddling courses throughout the year and organises several racing events, where our guppies are also building race experience. Social paddling activities take place at different times during the year and many social paddlers meet regularly for a pleasant meander on the river.
Open times Office Hourse are every 1st or 3rd Wednesday of the month 5.00-7.00pm and every 4th Saturday of the month 9.00-11.00am.

Other information Ascot Kayak Club is idyllically situated on the banks of the Swan River fifteen kilometres upstream from Perth in the picturesque grounds of Garvey Park, Fauntleroy Avenue, Ascot. This is an official canoe training area with a ramp for disabled paddlers, a beach and a flat water slalom course. The club offers access to all disciplines of canoeing, both social and competitive for all ages. Our new state of the art Clubhouse opened in 2006. Members are treated to excellent amenities all under one roof. Boat storage, hot and cold showers and change rooms.
